Style Tips: How to Blend Feminine and Edgy

It can be difficult having multiple style inspirations, and not being sold on the idea that you can pull them off. One of the hardest mashups is blending soft, feminine silhouettes with hard, structured pieces. Though tricky, it's a trend you can rock and feel fiercely femme!

Ruffles on Top, Pleats on Bottom

This mesh top and leather skirt may not seem like the perfect pairing at first, but it works. Just think Carrie Bradshaw meets the TBirds (where are my Grease fans?). I love this combination. It seems like the perfect marriage of textiles. Many stores are carrying great Victorian-Style lace tops and leather skirts (JCPenney, Endeavor Boutique, City Chic, etc), I personally love lace on top, with a solid structured bottom. Playing with different textures can be a total fashion win...or a flop, so be careful not to over do it. Styling Tip: We've seen a lot of celebrities wearing leather jackets and long, lace gowns. Adding a leather jacket or leather accessory (boots, backpack, belt) tones down the cuteness factor, and ups the edge of your look- Great way to turn down the femme. 

Glam it UP! Sequins and Leather

The ultimate look. Grab your disco dress, leather boots and of course- your leather jacket. Hit the nightlife scene in style. I love that you can achieve this look without breaking the bank.
