I love a great denim jacket. To be honest, I probably have close to 10. They carry from wash to design, but I didn't have anything like the jacket in the photo, and I knew I had to have it. It was giving me major Whitney Houston meets Teen Witch vibes. Can you see it?

When SimplyBe reached out to me to test their newest collections for festival wear I jumped at the opportunity. Though I'm no festival junkie, I can see how this jacket fits right into that arena, but also works for a casual day out. So who is this glorious brand called Simply Be? Here's a little backstory:

Who is Simply Be?

An online retailer based out of the UK, Simply Be carries a wide variety of size inclusive apparel and accessories. Currently, most styles range from sizes 6-28, and shoe widths from D to EEE! As you all know, I love brands that consider my curves, and the curves of my followers. Parent company N Brown Group has been serving the curvy woman for over 50 years and built the company on the expertise in fit and design to make our curves look great!

How they are Changing the Digital Shopping Experience

Although Simply Be has been in the US market for 6 years, they understand the need to stay current and relevant. Insert a new marketing plan. Since March, Simply Be has been focusing on making shopping via Instagram and visual merchandising to Gen Y and Gen Z customers a priority. Simply put: they realized there was a gap in marketing to the younger shoppers, and they set a plan in motion to fix that.

Honest Review

Full transparency here- I had never shopped Simply Be until recently. Initial reaction: I liked what I was seeing! There are so many different brands represented on the site. I love that I can go one place, and try several plus size friendly options. I'm also digging the youthful feel of the collection of dresses. I'm typically a dress girl and was surprised by how many options I had to choose from. I will definitely be shopping more since it's wedding season.

However for my first try-out of Simply Be I opted for another denim jacket...but this one wasn't built like the others. The detail on the sleeves in the photos drew me to it and it didn't disappoint in person. The distressed light wash was a perfect contrast for the black lace up strings with grommet details. So bad-ass but chic.
