When it comes to choosing the best fall family photoshoot outfits, I think it is best to begin with a theme. Choosing a theme for your family outfits gives you an idea to go off of when choosing pieces of clothing for each of your family members and also makes sure everyone will be matching without over matching.
What do I mean by over matching? Well, we have all seen the family photoshoots where the families are all wearing the same shade of xyz and well, I think themed colors turn out a lot better!
While we’re on the subject, by “themed” outfits, I mean themes of colors. For example, a warm toned family outfit theme (as mentioned below). This would include various warm toned shades that blend well together rather than choosing sage green and white to have every single family member in.
Another reason why I think themed family photoshoot outfits are a great idea is that it makes shopping for the clothes SO much easier! If you know you’re all wearing warm shades of burgundy and marigold, you know that you don’t have to look for EXACT matches of the colors, thus making shopping a million times easier!

For the warm toned family outfits, I chose to stick with marigold, burnt orange, tan, cream. Then for the cool toned outfits I decided to stick with navy, grey, hunter green. And as for the darks, well, those are just black outfit pieces!
