Happy (early) New Year! I hope you all had an AHH-Mazing Holiday week. I took advantage of the time off to spend some time with family, make a few memories, and of course...get in a blog shoot or two ;).

If you haven't already figured it out, I love graphic prints, lipstick and flow-y fabrics. So when I found them all in one dress I didn't think twice. This fly-away dress from Ashley Nell Tipton's debut plus line for JCPenney is EVERYTHING! The scuba-like fabric is super flattering, hugging in all the right places, but still flirty and flow-y. It features an extra detail in the back: an exposed zipper that also makes the dress POP! Oh, and did I mention it had pockets? Seriously, does Ashley get *us* or what!?!

Styling Tip: Nervous about your legs getting cold? Throw on a pair of leggings and velvet boots! I opted for a shimmer sock and leather bootie. The key is comfort and fun!

As I was shopping around for a few great pieces to add to my wardrobe, I came across a showstopper jacket. Naturally, a shoot must commence. Random, but have you ever put on an outfit and felt like it took on a personality all it's own? Well..that may or may not have happened in the following shots. #sorrynotsorry #feelingmyself

THIS JACKET!!!!! Ladies, if you have not dabbled into faux fur, I encourage you to do so asap! This dusty rose fur coat was giving me life! I had so much fun playing around in it. Styling Tip#2: Pair textured jackets (like faux fur) with smooth, body hugging fabrics underneath. This will help eliminate your clothes from looking too bulky.
