How To Embrace the Floral Trend This Spring
Happy Thursday! Alas, Spring is upon us! I'm so excited for the cool (not freezing) weather, shops opening their doors and putting the outdoor seating out, and most of all....the lovely flowers! Today's outfit review of features stand out florals; an essential print for Spring! This look is perfect for just a fun day out and about in the beautiful Spring air! Need help deciding on how to embrace this trend over Spring? Here are a few suggestions:
1.) Wear BIG flowers...not MORE flowers.
I loved this dress the moment I saw it. It helped me embrace the trend, but didn't overwhelm. The spotty florals were abstract and very modern.
2.) Make sure the flowers don't take over your curves (or your wallet).
The body of this dress allowed my curves to shine! It's an "A-line" cut with great fluidity in the skirt. Not only is the silhouette very flattering on my shape- as it camouflages my midsection, it was a great deal! This ENTIRE look was less than $100! Who says you need to break the bank on your Spring wardrobe?
3.) Find a bold color and stick with that color palette.
Believe it or not, even in Spring, red is my favorite color right and YES it should definitely be worn this season. Take that and add the blue accents and mostly white background- this dress is giving us an ultra feminine vibe. I felt pretty wearing it....how fun is that?
4.) Don't Overdue It.
I kept the accessories to a minimum, just adding simple earrings and a flower headband, wanting to accent the dress, but added a shrug and sandal in red to compliment- both from Old Navy.
