You Better Werk!

When most of us go to work, our outfit has to be professional, and though I understand a crop top and jeans isn't appropriate in an office setting, I don't believe always wearing a suit is either. So, I look for pieces that speak to my personality while maintaining the "office ideal" look. Lane Bryant does a great job at giving me options. This shift dress is soooo comfortable! Normally, as an apple shape (round in the middle) I would steer clear of a shift dress, but the swing at the bottom gave me the room I needed to make this work for my body. Make sure to read my post about dressing for your body type later this week! I will be discussing different body types and ways to play up your shape! Anyhoo...the graphic print and pop of color give this dress energy and character! 

Keep your accessories simple with this dress since it's for work. This cross body is structured and since you can remove the chain it doubles as a great "day to night" clutch.

Side note: Don't be afraid of a bold lip! My go-to is almost always red, but choose a shade that compliments your skin tone and rock it! Like the red lip? I'm putting together a must-have list of my fav lipstick brands for a future post!
